Cultivation: Here's a new Salvia that made me do a double take when I first saw it. It's one of the few annuals with true blue flowers. The foliage is glossy and quite attractive. This very impressive new Salvia from Ball Seed deserves a spot in every flower bed. Salvia 'Black and Blue' grows equally well in containers or beds.

Plant Salvia Black and Blue in full sun to partial shade in moist, fertile well drained soil in either beds or containers. Midday shade is beneficial. Space plants 18" - 24" apart. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer when in beds, twice monthly in containers.

Potential pests ~ diseases: Aphids or whiteflies.
