Cultivation: Pronounced: Por choo la ka. The 'Margarita' series is a compact, early flowering Moss Rose that freely produces large semi-double flowers. A good choice for the sunny... annual rock garden.

Plant Portulaca Margarita Rosita in full sun in any well drained soil in beds or containers. Drainage is a key element to successfully growing 'Moss Rose". Space plants 8" - 16" apart depending on how quickly you want the area to fill in. Moss Rose does best in hot, sunny dry areas. Water when the soil looks dry or the plants are beginning to wilt. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

Most cultivars of Portulaca grandiflora readily re-seed themselves appearing in the garden again the next season.

Available colors: Banana (Yellow), Coconut (White), Cream, Orange, Rosita (Vibrant Hot Pink), Strawberry (Scarlet), and a Mix.
