Cultivation: Shirley Poppies have a long history that started way back in 1880. A man by the name of Reverend Wilks who lived in Shirley England was the first to discover what is now know as Shirley Poppies. This very popular Poppy mix contains single, semi-double and double flowers in shades of pink, yellow, orange, and an occasional red.

Plant Shirley Poppies in full sun to light shade in fertile well drained soil. Space transplants 8" to 10" apart. If grown from seed, sowings can be spaced 2 weeks apart to extend the flowering season.
