Cultivation: Plant Love in the Mist in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Nigella is easy to grow from seed. Seeds can be planted as soon as the soil is workable. Seeds germinate in about 20 - 25 days with flowers appearing within about 3 months. Be sure to sow the seed where you want the plant... as they do not transplant well.

Nigella re-seeds itself yielding you a new crop of volunteers each season. For quicker growth purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Nigella "Love in a Mist" flowers are excellent for cutting and drying. Their large seed pods also dry well and are great for crafts.

Available cultivars: Blue Midget, Cambridge Blue, Dwarf Moody Blue, Miss Jekyll series, Mulberry Rose, Oxford Blue, Persian Jewels, and Red Jewel.

Rare.
