Cultivation: "New Carpet of Snow" likes full sun. Plant in light fertile soil that is well drained. In beds space plants 8" to 12" apart. After initial flowering... lightly cut back plants for a second showing. 

Flowering may decline when temps are over 90 degrees. Most all cultivars of Alyssum grow well in containers. Plant them around the edge of the container for a cascading effect. Most cultivars of Lobularia maritma readily re-seed themselves... appearing in the garden again the next season. 

The sweet smelling flowers of Alyssum attracts Butterflies.

Potential pests ~ diseases:
Rots is kept to wet or slugs.
