Cultivation:
"Sweet Potato Vine" is in the same family as
"Morning Glories"... both a climbing vine. 'Marguarite'
is the Chartreuse version of "Sweet Potato Vine". Its
not nearly as vigorous as the two dark colored cultivars. Its
excellent to use in mixed containers trailing over the edge. Also
known as "Terrace Lime".
Plant Ipomoea Marguarite in full sun to light shade in fertile well
drained soil. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Once
established 'Black Heart' is a vigorous grower that is well suited to
containers or hanging baskets. Try growing one on a trellis and
moving it indoors to a sunny window for the winter.
Potential pests ~ diseases: Leaf spots or spider mites.
