| Cultivation:
Pronounced im pay' shenz. Impatiens are the number one selling
bedding plant. The Fiesta series of Impatiens are fairly compact
reaching a height of only 12". They are naturally self
branching... and require no pinching. Fiesta will produce
masses of flowers all summer long.
Impatiens do not perform well in full hot sun. Ideally they
should be grown in partial shade to nearly full shade with early morning or late day
sun. Plant in fertile well drained soil in either beds or in
containers. Space plants 8" - 10" apart. Protect from high winds and early season frosts. Feed
Impatiens every two weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Impatiens can be moved
indoors at the end of the growing season to a sun room or sunny
window and kept as a flowering house plant.
