Cultivation: Godetia prefers to be planted in full sun to partial shade in well drained, slightly acidic soil. If planted in overly fertile soil the plant tends to grow more leaves than flowers. One of the main keys to growing Godetia is drainage... the plant will be more apt to rot if the soil does not drain well.

Satin Flower requires very little fertilizing. Their large 1" to 3" flowers will totally cover the plant in a blend of vivid colors. Godetia is generally available only in a mix of deep rose, lavender, lilac rose, pink, red, red and white bi-color, salmon, and white.

Potential pests ~ diseases:
Root rot if kept to wet.
