Cultivation: Plant Calendula in full sun to partial shade in any well drained soil either in beds or containers. "English Marigolds" prefer cooler temperatures and may not perform well during the heat of late summer. Remove spent flower stems before they go to seed to promote new flower growth. 

Flowers are excellent for cutting. "English Marigolds" are quite tolerant of light frosts towards end of the growing season. Most Calendula officinalis cultivars readily re-seed themselves appearing in the garden again the next season.

Aphids, powdery mildew or whitefly.
