Cultivation: Dragon Wing Begonias are a popular low maintenance, heat tolerant, spring bedding plant introduced by Pan American Seed. Dragon Wing Begonias are considered a fibrous rooted Begonia. As with all fibrous rooted Begonias they are extremely sensitive to cold, so don't plant them outdoors until 2 or 3 weeks after the last average frost date.

Dragon Wing Begonias can be found in 10" or 12" hanging baskets, mixed patio pots, and large cell packs for bed planting. Dragon Wing Begonias prefer humus rich soils and afternoon shade. Water when the soil is dry to the touch feeding monthly with a balanced liquid plant food. Be sure to bring your Dragon Wing Begonias indoors to over winter in a sunny window.

Propagation: Dragon Wing Begonias are difficult to propagate and are generally grown from seed.

Susceptible to mildews. Insect resistant.
