Cultivation: Asparagus Sprengerii is more commonly referred to as Asparagus Fern. It is usually found in mixed patio pots or hanging baskets as a trailing filler. Asparagus fern can be brought indoors to a sunny location before first frost and kept as a house plant. Asparagus Fern tends to shed small needles making it a somewhat "dirty" houseplant.

Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengerii' is very easy to grow. It prefers full sun to light shade. Keeping the soil evenly moist promotes rapid growth. The needle like leaves will yellow if the soil is kept to dry. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer when actively growing.

Propagation: Asparagus Fern is not only easy to grow... its very easy to propagate by dividing it large tubers.

Potential pests ~ diseases:
Aphids on new growth.
